If you have a fuel card, you should always use it to buy your fuel, which means you won’t need to add receipts. However, if there’s ever a time when you can’t use it (for example, you’ve left it at home) and you need to buy fuel, you must add the receipts manually to MileageCount. This ensures the expense is accounted for in your personal deduction.

1. Click the ‘Submit your Trip Entries’ button at the bottom of the Driver Journeys page – you’ll also need to click the checkbox to certify the information you’re submitting is correct.

2. You will then be on the Monthly Mileage Summary Page. If you have any fuel spend to declare, click the ‘Cash Spend Entry’ button to enter the date and the amount. Add the details and click the blue cross to add the entry.

3. You’ll now see the entry appear with an ‘upload’ icon next to it – you’ll need to add an image of your receipt. Click ‘choose file’ and select the image file from your computer then click the ‘upload’ icon next to the entry this relates to

4. Once you’ve added all the entries, click ‘Save’, tick the checkbox, then click ‘Submit your Cash Spend Entries’. Then click ‘Back to Mileage Summary’ to continue submitting your mileage claim.5. There is also an option to upload the receipt directly from the app, and attach a photo from you photo album on your phone. Simply click the fuel pump icon on the main page and use the ‘+’ sign icon and enter details as instructed. Afterwards please click the cloud upload button to upload this purchase to the portal.
