If you have a fuel card, you should always use it to buy your fuel, which means you won’t need to add receipts. However, if there’s ever a time when you can’t use it (for example, you’ve left it at home) and you need to buy fuel, you must add the receipts manually to MileageCount. This ensures the expense is accounted for in your personal deduction.
1. Click the ‘Submit your Trip Entries’ button at the bottom of the Driver Journeys page – you’ll also need to click the checkbox to certify the information you’re submitting is correct.
2. You will then be on the Monthly Mileage Summary Page. If you have any fuel spend to declare, click the ‘Cash Spend Entry’ button to enter the date and the amount. Add the details and click the blue cross to add the entry.
3. You’ll now see the entry appear with an ‘upload’ icon next to it – you’ll need to add an image of your receipt. Click ‘choose file’ and select the image file from your computer then click the ‘upload’ icon next to the entry this relates to
