Customising Checklists

Modified on Tue, 25 Oct 2022 at 07:25 AM

Each vehicle will automatically be assigned a checklist based on the vehicle type held in the vehicle database. If you wish to customise these checklists, you can do so by creating an editable version of standard checklists where you can reorder, create and delete items to suit your business requirements.

CREATING AN EDITABLE CHECKLIST

Navigate to 'Manage Checklists' - 'Checklists' - then click 'Add checklist'

A pop-up will appear. Please select vehicle type, and existing associated template you wish to edit from the drop-down boxes, ensure the 'Customise checklist' option is selected and click 'Add Checklist'

A new editable checklist will appear. Click the edit icon at the end of the row to edit overview information for the checklist.

From the edit screen you will be able to change the name of the checklist in the 'Edited Checklist Name' section and select a different 'Minimum Completion Time (Min)'. Click Save if you choose to make any changes here. Any revisions or updates to this checklist will be stored in the Revisions table to the right.

If you navigate back to the previous screen and this time, choose Details in the checklist row you will be taken to a view of the checklist items. You can action the following options

RE-ORDERING ITEMS IN THE LIST

If you wish to change the order of the items, simple click on the item you want to move and drag and drop to your desired order.

DELETING ITEMS IN THE LIST

Delete any item in the checklist by clicking the delete button.

ADDING STANDARD ITEMS TO THE LIST

If would like to add an item which already exist in another checklist you can add this to the current checklist you are editing by clicking the 'Add Standard Item' button.

A pop-up will appear. Filter to the position the check is completed from to filter the list of items, scroll and select the item you wish to add. Then click 'Add Item'

CREATING NEW ITEMS FOR THE LIST

If the item, you want to add to your checklist doesn't yet exist or you wish to replace the existing check with your internal terminology then click 'Create New Item'.

A pop-up will appear. Filter to the position the check is completed from to filter the list of items, enter in a description and details, then click 'Save and add to the checklist'

SAVING CHANGES

After you make any changes to this screen - please make sure you have clicked 'Save Checklist' before you exit this screen.

If you exit without this step your changes will be lost.

A pop-up will appear to confirm you wish to 'Create New Revision'. Click this to complete the save checklist process.

NEXT STEPS...

Once the checklist has been saved it will then be available to assign to vehicles with matching Vehicle Types (e.g. car, HGV). Action this from the Vehicle tab.
