Create reminders for Services and MOTS to generate events you can create alert notifications. You can choose the trigger to be based on the odometer reading, engine hours or time.
To create the reminder you need to access the 'Administration' section, select 'Assets' and choose the vehicle you wish to add the reminder for. If you navigate to the 'Settings' section you will see there is a 'Reminders' section, select the edit icon and the option to 'Add' a new reminder will become available. Here you can choose 'Odometer Reminder', 'Engine Hours Reminder' or 'Time Based Reminder'.
Odometer Reminders allow you to trigger an event when a specific odometer reading is reached - the example below shows 25,000 - but any value can be entered into this field.
Or it can remind you every X miles (the example below shows every 15,000) and you can set this to reset after each reminder.
Engine hours work in the same way however instead of mileage being reached it is hours.
For Time based reminder select a specific date and time or a number of days which have passed.
You can rename any of these reminders to friendly names - such as 'Service Due' and 'MOT Due'.
Now you have created the event trigger at Asset level if you wish to be notified when the event triggers you need to set up an alert.
We recommend these are call Odometer Reminder/ Engine Hours Reminder/ Time Based Reminder Alert and set up in the Alerts section as follows, choosing your own personal preference on priority type and who you wish to notify.
Once the alert has been set up you will receive an alert in the platform Alert area when the event is triggered.
If you have selected this to notify you by email or SMS a copy of this text will be send via chosen notification option.
*SMS notification is an additional cost and services needs to be activated by Support Team – please contact the Support Team to discuss.
