Creating New Users

The first Administrator will be set up by the Support Team - any subsequent Users can be added to the system by the Administrator by navigating to Users from within the Administration Tab. Once the User list screen is open, select the plus sign to add new User. 



A pop up will appear to enter setup the User's account. Name and email address are mandatory (the username will be the email address and where welcome email will be sent). The mobile number is optional and only relevant if you have paid to upgrade to SMS notifications. 


If you have cost centres set up you can restrict the user's access to a certain part of the fleet, if you do not have Cost Centres setup or would like the user to view all select 'Default'.


Time zone and language will default to Europe/ London and English - you can choose an alternative language if you prefer. We would recommend not adjusting the time zone as this can affect reporting - please discuss with us if you wish to make this change. 



After selecting 'Next' you need to choose which User Role the user will have access as. The default will be Administrator with the same permissions as the original person setup. You can create new user roles with varying permissions to the platform, see User Roles 



After selecting 'Next' you will be taken to a review screen, if the information is correct please select 'Finish' to create the User. The user is now created and will receive a welcome email with a prompt to create a new password and link into the platform. You can access the User record at any time and adjust the setting parameters.


We would recommend you apply your notification priority preferences at this point. Define whether alerts are low, medium or high in the Alerts tab, then you can choose at User level how you wish to be notified. This section will default to 'None', but you can change to 'Email', 'SMS'* or both.

 


*If you would like to be notified by email this is an additional charge per SMS sent. This service needs to be enabled by the Support Team, so please contact the team if you would like to enable this service.
