Zones

Available in Lite & Pro packages

Once you have navigated to an area you would like to create a zone for, select the drop down in the top right corner, you can then select Geofence Zones.

 Select Draw a Geofence Zone.

Click on the screen to create a unique shape around the area. Join the last point to the first point to complete the zone.

After joining the last point to the first a box will pop up to enable you to add detail. Name, Type, Cost Centre and Group are mandatory. You can choose different zone types – Keep in (green), Location (blue), No Go (red). If you do not have cost centre or groups setup – then choose ‘default’. You can choose to add a speed limit within this zone which will override the road speed limit. You can also set a proximity warning which can be used in conjunction with alerts.

Assigning Zones to Cost Centres/ Asset Groups and Reporting on Zones

Available in Pro package ONLY

Review the zones you have created in Administration - Zones. Here you can edit details regarding zone type, cost centre, asset group and assign speed limit. Select multiple by holding down Ctrl + selecting the zones you wish to edit to update information on mass.

Once you have established a 'Location' zone type, when a vehicle is in this area rather than showing the address it will now show the zone name when viewing in the Live Map tab and Reporting. If you choose 'Keep In' or 'No Go' zone types the address will remain.

You can also run reports based on time spent within Zones using the Zone Listing Report. Choose vehicles you wish to view (choose All vehicles if you want to include all vehicles in your fleet), then choose whether you want to view all zones or type the name of the specific zone. Change parameters as required then select 'Run'.

The report will separate the information by vehicle to show individual vehicle movement within that zone over the select time period.

You can also create alerts based on drivers entering or leaving the pre-defined zones via Alerts.
